One must pay assured fees to play on a golf course. There are two distinctive fees; the cart fee, which is for the fitness of a golf cart, and the greens fee, which allows entertainment on the course itself. On some courses, walking is prohibited, and the cart fee is often included with the greens fee.

The second-richest women's tour, the LPGA of Golf Balls Japan Tour, does not recognize any of the U.S. LPGA or European majors. It has its own inveterate of three majors. However, these events attract hasty notice outside Japan.
